Logline

The story follows a rebelious group of friends with extraordinary powers running a free night-shop, based on presents and necessities. As buildings and people start to mysteriously disappear in their town, they have to care for their community while trying to unite with the inhabitants of their neighbourhood. But how to cooperate with those who don't think like you? By joining forces, will they solve the mystery behind the apparent collapse of their world ?

- Sasha (he/him)

Sensitive and insecure, a tiny bit awkward, he always tries to be amiable to others while keeping his inner questionings to himself. After the disappearance of his flat, he is taken in by the night shop team. While making new stimulating friendships and having challenging new conflicts, he finds what he had craved for : a home where he can learn to make his voice heard and find out how he wants to live with others. Within the community's organization, he takes on the role of a chronist, interviewing people on their experiences, needs and wishes and documenting the activities of the collectivity. In the night-shop, his sensitivity and easy to access personality helps the team to connect furthermore to the neighbourhood inhabitants.

- Malin (she/her)

She's the only one of the team to have grown up in a community of the Home network, which one can see in her free spirit, and lack of understanding of some social constructs. She was very enthusiastic about the creation of the night shop, as she felt the need to open her world to people outside of her community. She practices witchcraft for herself as well as to help the network and the shop's customers. Reckless and full of energy though easily bored, she pushes the group forward with her constant crave for distraction and movement. She jokes with everything, but takes very seriously her desire to not be bound to any frame. Never takes no for an answer and struggles with rules, which sometimes causes problems in their collective.

- Bilel (he/him)

A charismatic though discreet young man, he uses a sophisiticated withcraft to navigate physical and virtual borders, political ones as well as the ones to the unseen, following his need to explore as many worlds as he can find. He takes part in the network's weekly activities to cook or organize parties, but saves the most of his energy for when he thinks it's really necessary. His specialty is identity shape shifiting, and he works together with Malin to craft magical ID cards for people of the neighbourhood who need to navigate systematic oppression on race and gender. In the group, he tends to avoid disagreeing and often choses to dwell in compromise, in fear of losing his place. Although not very talkative, he prefers to be surrounded by people rather than staying alone, as he has a lot of untold anxieties, that he expresses only through his practice of acoustic music.

- The cyborgs

Chris and Cyan have a symbiotic friendship. Having mutually agreed to let go of the borders of their individuality, they experiment on bio-hacking, do music together and complete each other's strenghts and inabilities.

- Cyan (she/her)

Appearing cold and distant, she is in fact very protective of her friends, and loves Chris more than anything. Is more into action than talking, has strong opinions and great courage and sense of responsibility. At times, she can be self-righteous and have difficulties to question herself. Besides of taking care of the night shop and experimenting with bio hacking with Chris, she practices martial art since a young age, and is part of the self-defense street patrol.

- Chris (they/them)

A sweet and understanding person, full of visionnary ideas and crave to experiment, they consider their body as a fluid changing matter. They get into everything they do with a playful enthusiasm, wether it is their programming work for the network's server, their experiments with Cyan on their own bodies or their DJing activities. Trying to always keep their cool, they are afraid of conflicts and tend to disappear when they occur, however Cyan always stands for them. While they come accross as cheerful, they sometimes have to isolate for days during depression phases or when getting obssessed with their researches.
